DeepGov

Methodology

Official versus third-party data

Official records come from government sources such as Congress.gov, the U.S. Census Bureau Geocoder, the Federal Election Commission, the House Clerk, and the U.S. Senate. Third-party sources, including LegiScan and Financial Modeling Prep congressional disclosures when enabled, are labeled as third_party and are not required for federal lookup.

Retrieved and cached timestamps

Every material record includes retrievedAt and cached timestamps in source metadata so clients can distinguish a fresh fetch from a cached copy.

AI-generated material

Any model-written explanation is classified as ai_generated. Core representative lookup does not depend on AI and works when no model key is configured.

No inference of political motive

Campaign-finance figures are reported receipts, reported contributions, and campaign committee names. Congressional trade rows are reported financial disclosures with amount ranges. DeepGov does not infer bribery, corruption, motive, insider trading, or influence.

Independence

DeepGov is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representative of any government entity.
